Order of St John of Jerusalem of
Rhodes and of Malta
Thanks to the involvement of the Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Malta, the Embassy to the Holy See has given a significant contribution to complete the restoration and to expand the Church of the Parish of Faya, in Chad.
At the beginning of September took place in Scala (SA) an intense "three days" celebration in honor of Blessed Gerardo Sasso, founder of the Order of Malta.
The Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap, was received in audience this morning at the Vatican by Pope Francis, discharged just a few days before from the hospital.
After months of preparations and close contacts between the Embassy of the Order of Malta to the Holy See and the European Parlament, on June the 8th the Grand Master Fra’ John Dunlap received some 100 European members of the European People’s Party at the Magistral Villa on the Aventine in Rome for a debate on the role of Christian values in European integration process.

Led by the Grand Master Fra’ John Dunlap at his first official engagement after his very recent election, the traditional appointment of the Order’s members and volunteers gathered in Lourdes about 6,000 participants, among which 1,077 sick people.
The social and humanitarian projects of the Order of Malta have been illustrated by the Ambassador of the Order to the Holy See during of a broadcast of the network EWTN's titled " The Church & Charity: Praying, Caring, Saving ".
The Council Complete of State, on May 3rd, 2023, elected Fra' John Dunlap as Prince and 81st Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, in the Magistral Villa on the Aventine, by an absolute majority of votes.
The Embassy to the Holy See organized a trip to Otricoli - historical roman town place of origin of many famous works of art, among which stands out the so called “Giove di Otricoli” - dedicated to the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See and to the Sovereign Order of Malta, kindly hosted for one day by the Minister Counsellor of the Embassy to Italy, owner of a large farm in the area.
