The Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap, conferred the insignia of Bailiff Grand Cross of Honour and Devotion on Cardinal Christophe Louis Yves Georges Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio in Washington.
The ceremony, held in the prestigious setting of Palazzo Orsini, the seat of the Order of Malta’s Embassy to the Holy See, and the following Lunch were attended by, among the others, some members of the Order’s Government and by the Ambassadors of France and the United States to the Holy See.
Cardinal Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio in the United States since 2016, was created Cardinal by Pope Francis on September 2023.
