The Embassy of the Order of Malta to the Holy See hosts the Munich Security Conference Round Table on Defense, with which the Order itself has maintained a fruitful working relationship for years.
After Germany, France and the United Kingdom, Casa Litta-Palazzo Orsini hosts the Italian leg of the Plenary Sessions on the theme of European Defence organized by the Munich Security Conference (MSC) with the collaboration of the IAI.
The event, intended as a platform to discuss and address the most pressing security challenges in Europe and the very future of defence cooperation on the continent, was attended by Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto, former British Minister of Defence David Lammy, the Chiefs of Defence and of the three Armed Forces and the Commander of COVI, as well as a high number of Italian and foreign government representatives, decision-makers, Ambassadors, foreign policy experts and entrepreneurs.
Held under the Chatham House rule, the Rome Round Table, coordinated by MSC Chairman Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger and Vice President Benedikt Franke, provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination among key European partners and contribute to a coherent and effective approach to addressing common security challenges.
