Order of St John of Jerusalem of
Rhodes and of Malta
The Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap, conferred the insignia of Bailiff Grand Cross of Honour and Devotion on Cardinal Christophe Louis Yves Georges Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio in Washington.
The four Orders of Saint John of Jerusalem, associated in the "Alliance" of the Orders of Saint John, who share with the Order of Malta the historical tradition and vocation of caring for the sick and the poor, gathered in Rome on 12 and 13 April for two days of prayer, reflections and initiatives.
Thanks to the collaboration between the Embassies of the Sovereign Order to the Holy See and to the Quirinale, it was possible to organize a special visit dedicated to Heads of Mission to the splendid premises of the Council of State and Galleria Spada.
The annual meeting of the Consorts of the Ambassadors accredited to the Holy See took place at Casa Litta-Palazzo Orsini, seat of the Embassy.
Ambassador Zanardi Landi, as part of the Delegation of HE the Grand Chancellor, attended the 60th edition of the Munich Security Conference, which brings together in Munich Heads of State and Government, ministers and senior institutional representatives of the international community to take stock of the main challenges in the field of Foreign and Security Policy.
The General Conference on the dynamics and prospects of the Order of Malta’s diplomacy started in Rome, in the Magistral Villa on the Aventine, in the light of its centuries-old spiritual and humanitarian mission condensed in the motto Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum.
In the week of January the 22nd , took place in Rome the Summit of the IARCCUM (International Anglican-Catholic Commission for Unity and Mission), which brought together Anglican and Catholic bishops from 27 countries.
The Holy Father received the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See at the Vatican for the traditional New Year's Greetings.
During the absence of Ambassador Zanardi Landi, Minister Councillor Alessandrojacopo Boncompagni Ludovisi, Councillors Luciano Gobbi and Alessandro Pompili and Ecclesiastical Councillor Mons. Marco Ceccarelli, welcomed in Casa Litta-Palazzo Orsini, see of the Embassy, the six Grand Priors and the Regents of the five Sub Priories of the Order of Malta.
