On the morning of May 8th, the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Holy See hosted a group of Knights, Dames, and Volunteers from the Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta of Panama. Following their pilgrimage to Lourdes, the group continued their journey with a stop in Rome.
During their stay in the Eternal City, the Association visited the main headquarters of the Order, including Casa Litta–Palazzo Orsini, where they were welcomed by members of the Embassy staff and an art historian.
The Panamanian confrères were also presented with an overview of the Embassy’s most recent charitable initiatives, including the “G.I.O.I.A. Project,” which supports the empowerment of young persons with disabilities and is currently the focus of an active fundraising campaign.
