The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Holy See opened the doors of its headquarters at Casa Litta–Palazzo Orsini to a group of Malteser leaders from Germany, led by Baron Douglas von Saurma-Jeltsch.
During the visit, the guests were presented with the recent restoration work carried out in the salons and upper floors of Palazzo Orsini, made possible thanks to the generosity of Italian and North American friends and benefactors, as well as with the latest charitable projects supported by the Embassy through donations raised by the public opening of the Embassy following the restoration.
This initiative ideally and concretely connects the stewardship of a prestigious historic residence with the founding mission of the Order of Malta: the care and assistance of the sick and the suffering.
