At the beginning of September took place in Scala (SA) an intense “three days” celebration in honor of Blessed Gerardo Sasso, founder of the Order of Malta, Benedictine monk, “man of dialogue and peace” landed in the Holy Land where he founded the Order of the Knights of Malta (1099) caring for the sick of every race and every faith.

At the event, at the presence, among others, of the Minister of Culture Sangiuliano, took part the Grand Master Frà John Dunlap, His Eminence the Cardinal Special Delegate of the Pope to the Order, the Grand Commander HE Frà Emmanuel Rousseau, the Grand Chancellor HE Riccardo Paternò, the Delegate of the Grand Priory of Rome HE Frà Roberto Viazzo and the Ambassador to the Holy See Antonio Zanardi Landi.

During the event was premiered the Docufilm «Blessed Gerardo, the warrior without sword», conceived and conducted by Father Enzo Fortunato, written by Paola Miletich and produced and directed by Marco Capasso, aired on September 4 on Rai3, which will be broadcasted on 12 October at the Corsie Sistine at the presence of the Guests of the Reception of the Embassy of the Order to the Holy See.
