The Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra\u2019 John Dunlap, and his Delegation were received in audience this morning at the Vatican by Pope Francis.
\nCharacterized by great cordiality, the meeting was an opportunity to illustrate to the Holy Father the main activities in the spiritual, humanitarian and diplomatic fields carried out by the Order of Malta over the past year, from the support of the Ukrainian population, to the aid program for the population of Gaza in collaboration with the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
\nAt the end of the Audience, the Grand Master presented the Holy Father with a medal depicting the effigy of Our Lady of Mount Philermos, a symbol par excellence of the Order of Malta\u2019s Marian spirituality, and the Pontiff gifted the Grand Master with a bronze bas-relief depicting Saints Peter and Paul.
\nAfterwards, His Most Eminent Highness the Grand Master and Their Excellencies the Grand Commander Fr\u00e0 Emmanuel Rousseau, the Chancellor Riccardo Patern\u00f2 di Montecupo and Ambassador Zanardi Landi held talks with Monsignor Paul Richard Gallagher, Vatican\u2019s Secretary for Relations with States and International Organisations.<\/p>\n
